4:10 AM Visiting Anchors
Everyone needs something to use as an anchor in their life. By anchor, I do not mean "that which holds you to a single point in space and prevents you from moving," but something that ties you, connects you to what you dream and believe.
Your anchor should serve to remind you of what you want out of life and what you are working towards.
It could be a book, a piece of music, a certain path that you take a walk on - the "what" does not matter. What does matter is that you have a firm idea of what it represents to you and, that you return to this anchor regularly during the week.
Regularly but not ritualistically. When touching base with your anchor becomes a ritual, the anchor will then become a weight that brings you down and ties you to a stationary point.
If your anchor is a book, like a book of sayings, that you find inspiration from when you read it - set it out someplace you can see it and pick it up and read from it periodically during the week, but at no set time.
You will be surprised how much less overwhelming life will seem when you begin to visit your anchor more often and spontaneously.
