What on earth does that mean?

AuthorCassandra Tribe | CommentPost a Comment | Share ArticleShare Article PermalinkPermalink

You are probably looking at the title for this section, Disco Vivo, and have all sorts of flashing lights and sweaty bodys bouncing through your mind. Sorry to disappoint but its Latin for "to learn to live."

So sad...no party for you

:)

What "Disco Vivo" is about is just a short little post on a weekly (or more often) basis that is about what it means to learn to live. You are here, on this site, looking for something. What is it you hope to find? What is it that you feel like you are missing?

We don't consider in detail the way we use the Internet and what it reveals about our longings. We google or chat withour paying attention to where this occurs in our day and why. We might get as far as recognizing that we do it when we are being or frustrated or lonely but we stop there because the instant gratification of distraction has arrived.

Disco Vivo could almost be called "The Art of Paying Attention." As we go I will be posting small exercises and suggestions to help you begin to pay closer attention to your life. The more attention you pay to it, the easier it will be to discover what it is you need to be doing to get where you want to go.

Start right now. Visit every part of this site and at the least, make a mental note of what draws your attention and engages you. At the best, leave comments, reach out and extend yourself and become part of the discussion.

The party isn't here in what we show you, its in your ability to rediscover what it is you want your life to be about.
