6:38 AM standing in front of mirrors
Have you ever wondered why it seems like you only get an idea of how you really look when you catch your reflection in a window as you walk by?
When we look into mirrors we see ourselves through the lenses of our self-judgment and our desires. Standing in front of a mirror is rife with pressure and stress. When we "catch" our reflection we are seeing what we look actually look like because we see ourselves as a stranger, for whom we have no expectations and no emotional history.
If you want to improve how you look, cover all the mirrors in your house for two weeks. You will be surprised not only at how much better you feel, but in reality, how much better you look because you will reflect your self esteem in your body - only without a daily dose of judgment and comparison.
After all, what we see in our mind's eye is most often what we make into reality.
