the creeping ceiling

AuthorCassandra Tribe | CommentPost a Comment | Share ArticleShare Article | Email ArticleEmail Article | Print ArticlePrint Article | PermalinkPermalink

My ceiling extended itself another 4 feet today. It has a habit of doing that whenever the night before has turned just a hair colder.

A little pile of wood in the corner is starting to make noises about becoming a wall as well.

The interesting thing is how much I have learned this year about my crazy tinfoil and such construction. I had all the right ideas last year, I just put everything in the wrong place. This year there is significantly more order and knowledge to the process.

I am also perfecting the heavy bag I have made for myself. I...uhhhhhh...beat it down the other day

:)

so round two of putting it together if you will excuse the pun.

I also did something today that I have no idea why it occured to me (oh except for all the courses and stuff I am involved in et al) but I went out searching on the Internet for free self-hypnosis mp3s and I found them. Not because I have anything that is an immediate and large problem, but because there are a few areas of my being that I realize are so entrenched in old scripts and habits that I just need to find a way around them.

So I downloaded them and listened. The way they suggest you use them is to do the whole "lie down in a quiet room" thing and listen to the 20 minute recording. And to do this once a day for two weeks.

What was interesting, for me, was that at one point during the hypnosis, while very relaxed and very conscious of what was being said, the fellow (they are all british men for some reason) said a series of things that caused me to feel this intense flood of relief.

I have also not missed the fact that since I listened to two of them today, I have rallied, organized and sailed forward with hardly a thought. Which is not my typical tuesday behavior.

Its a new concept. Working to change something before it becomes an issue. I think that is called "being prepared."
