Heh....

Do you know how difficult it was to pick something that I liked about my character and set it in stone as something to encourage and practice for a week? I am sooooooooo much better at picking something I do not like and need to change.

What I picked (which is my business) is something that while I have it in spades and it is a very good thing, it is not something that I allow myself to do in all areas of my life. And that is the key word here, 'allow.' I didn't really see that so clearly until I settled on this certain something as my new found companion for the week.

But it is funny the already subtle shift in my thinking. I find myself reminding myself that I am a certain way as I encounter situations where i usually don't let myself be like that.

Oh so cryptic.

And the reading thing, and small...meditation thing, funny too that I am reaching for that so easily rather than my usually habitual diet of news and gloom. Oh I still read that today, but it took all of two seconds to remind myself to do the other first.

Blogging, however, is like pulling teeth. I have really gotten into the habit of skipping a day or two between posts. Ooops.

its all fun and games until you have to do something that you committed to doing that also cannot be done "on the fly" and requires you sit, commit and give some time to it.

and basically, it has been way hot and way humid. Earl looks like it is coming this way, and my brain power is floating somewhere down around nil....but I am holding to my commitment and showing up

and ooooohhhhhhh I just had an idea :)

YAY

first one of the day

ok

and also my excuse to stop torturing both of us and go outside
