glitter

I have been up for hours, working on the soundtrack to Turtle and listening to the rain. It is easy to hear it as the door is open because the mad kitten stomped up and down my body at 4am and would take nothing less then the ability to run in and out of the rain all morning as her due and right.


The rain on her fur looks like glitter.


I am trying something different with the soundtrack for this video. It has been a little hairy in getting it done but I am working with sound, binaural beats and solfeggio frequencies under the voice. The idea is to begin exploring how far I can push creating an environment through image and sound that exists for the viewer as a reality - but only inside of them. Binaural beats are the things you use with meditation to transfer between different brain waves states. Solfeggio frequencies are very odd, they are tones that are considered to resonate with various chakras. Gregorian chants utilize the tones, each note on a scale can reach one if sung correctly. People who do energy work, particulary with tuning forks, use them to help heal people.


I think I almost have it, as I work on the recording I have been sliding between not feeling too good to finally, this morning, I rearranged all the tones and the sensation of listening to it was quite different. Even without imagery....there is imagery there, you know? All this is coming out of that damn Haiku show I did, I have been absolutely entranced with the idea of unfinished bridges - in writing, in sounds, in imagery....I think I will upload it to the reverbnation player a little later today so you can hear it without the video. I am still fooling with some of the tracks, but to give you an idea, this one is using 38 tracks of sound.


That might go up as the day progresses.


To give you a point of reference, Striking a Match used 26 tracks, The Heart of Failure used 102 and Requiem had only 6 and the Demon, well, the Demon sound is not done yet but is hovering around 86.

I think I may throw a wrench in my schedule today and make a video
